Behind the Scenes with Hammer Thrower Britney Henry

Britney Henry is obviously unique for the fact that she is currently our only field event sponsored athlete here at Oiselle. However, why we love Britney goes way beyond her athletic accomplishments. In and out of the ring she is a ray of sunshine. For awhile we have been wanting our community to see what Britney does day in and day out, preparing to throw an 8.8 pound metal ball more than 200 feet in distance...while staying within a 7 foot diameter circle. How is that possible?! What are the rules of competition for the hammer throw? What does practice look like?

Britney spent some time last week telling us what goes into her competition and what goes on in her mind as she approaches and enters the hammer ring. Come watch with us. And don't forget to follow "oisellebts" on snapchat today...it's a Britney takeover!
